Resurrection Intro: Titan

Archer’s Line – The Moon

The searching Ghost is accompanied by a Hunter and Warlock, picking through the abandoned buildings of the old space center. Quite a bit of caution is taken to avoid attracting the attention of the Fallen who have claimed residence since the Humans retreated. Presently the Ghost is silently scanning a darkened control room, light only filtering in through the dusty windows. The two Guardians stay on point, clearing the place before taking up a post at the closed door.

Warlock: [exhausted sigh] We’ve been at this for days. There’s only so many skeletons I can stomach before the Void looks delightful enough to throw myself into.

Hunter: Oh, shut it. If I knew my Ghost had been encouraged to give up on finding me I’d be… Well…

Warlock: You’d still be dead.

Hunter: And I’d be very upset about it in the afterlife.

Warlock: What afterlife?

Hunter: What is it with you Warlocks and questioning everything?

Warlock: It’s kind what we do. Like you Hunters and stabbing everything.

Ghost: [excitedly] Found you!

The Titan is propped up against the back wall, a trigger in hand with explosives strapped to the chestplate. The two Guardians stand on either side of the Ghost, looking down at the body.

Hunter: Looks like a dud, s/he’s pretty lucky it never went off. I don’t think a Ghost can put a splattered body back together.

Warlock: [looking at the Ghost] Are you sure you want this one? S/he seems to favor the mentality of ‘I’m going down and I’m taking you with me’.

Ghost: [directly into camera] S/he’s perfect.

Buried City – Mars

With a Titan and Warlock in tow the searching Ghost floats over the invading sand piles deep within the Buried City’s bowels. The two Guardians had been dispatched to escort the Ghost since losing another shard of the Travelor’s Light was not an option. The pitch black curtain is pierced only by a single ray of sunlight filtering through a broken panel, the sand having been blown in enough to create a sizable dune underneath. The Vex and Cabal had been avoided thus far but the Guardians kept their eyes up, waiting to see just one other light in the darkness.

Titan: [sarcastically] Haven’t we been through here before? I recognize that grain of sand.

Warlock: See that blood stain? We’ve been walking in circles.

Titan: Cabal blood is kind of a beautiful shade when it dries.

Warlock: That’s a word I never thought I’d hear out of a Titan, ‘beautiful’.

Titan: Yes, I know words with more than two syllables. We’re not just brutes.

Warlock: [snorts] Could have fooled me.

Titan: I have scented candles in my dorm.

Warlock: [jealously] Where did you find those?

Titan: The Cryptarch.

Ghost: [excitedly] Found you!

The Hunter only has a couple fingers sticking out of the giant sand dune, the two Guardians digging with their hands to uncover the Hunter down to the waist. A single knife is gripped in the other hand, cloak barely intact after what seems a terrible shredding.

Titan: [looking at the Ghost] Looks like s/he got caught and went down swinging, literally. Are you sure you want one that doesn’t know when to retreat?

Ghost: [directly into camera] S/he’s perfect.

Resurrection Intro: Warlock

The Ishtar Collective Library – Venus

The Ghost is flanked by a Titan and a Hunter, emerging from the sinkhole at one end of the library. The place had been scouted at first, not wanting to call all the Vex and Fallen on Venus to their location. With the first floor cleared they move up to the second, the Ghost taking it’s time scanning. Perched on the railing the Hunter sits on the rail, Titan leaning against the pillar, both looking rather bored.

Hunter: The only kind of Guardian we’re going to find in here is a Warlock and that’s the last thing we need. Another Void hugging nerd.

Titan: Didn’t you Hunters get your Blink knowledge from them?

Hunter: No one asked you.

Titan: I’m the only other living thing in here.

Hunter: Maybe I was talking to the hanging moss. It gets really lonely when you’re patrolling by yourself in the Darkness zones.

Titan: I didn’t believe it until you said that.

Hunter: Believe what?

Titan: That a cold Hunter has a heart.

Hunter: Yeah, it’s the heart of a Fallen Servitor, want to see it? It’s still glowing.

Titan: It’s creepy that you kept it.

Ghost: [excitedly] Found you!

The Warlock is face down, a single hand raised up to clutch a book on the lowest shelf. Laser burn marks and moldy ripped out pages litter the area around the Guardian. The Hunter and Titan stand on either side of the Ghost.

Titan: Wow, you called this one. I guess I owe you three exotic engrams.

Hunter: [looking to the Ghost] And you want this one? S/he turned his/her back on the enemy to try to save one single book.

Ghost: [directly into camera] S/he’s perfect.
